AvH4 The Andes: Challenge for Geosciences
International Conference
Financial Support for Students

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of AvH4 is pleased to announce the
guidelines for financial support for student participants of the
conference. The financial support for selected students is in the form of
a partial waiver (50%-100%) of the registration fee.

Funding is very limited, thus this support is restricted only to students
who meet the following three conditions: (1) the student is currently
enrolled in a Masters or Doctoral program in Geosciences, (2) the student
is presenting an abstract (oral or poster) at the conference, and (3) the
student can demonstrate financial need.

To apply for this support, students should complete the application form on
http://meetings.copernicus.org/avh4/financial_support_for_students.html
and send it to the LOC chairman (Dr. René Garreaud, Universidad de Chile,
rgarreau en dgf.uchile.cl) by August 30. In addition to this form, students
should ask their adviser or department chair to send an official letter to
the LOC chairman stating that the student genuinely need this support to
be able to participate in the conference.
