Dear prospective students and postdocs:


I would like to draw your attention to 10 PhD and 1 Postdoctoral position
now available at the University of Tuebingen, Germany. All positions are
related to a new international research training group focused on
'Integrated Hydrosystem Modeling'.  This is a joint collaboration between
the Univ. Tuebingen, Univ. Waterloo, Canada, and Univ. Hohenheim
(Germany). All students and the postdoc will work together as an
integrated team at the Univ. Tuebingen.


All positions are related to advancing flow and reactive-transport models
for coupled hydrosystems.  Quantifying the chemical, physical, and
biologic interactions with the near surface hydrosphere figure prominently
in many of the research projects.


Application deadline is February 19.  admission decisions will be made in
the second half of March, and applicants will start on June 1.  The
research group and graduate program are conducted in English and knowledge
of German is not required.

Tuebingen is a University town of 80,000 people located in Southwest
Germany.  The rolling hills, lush forests, warm climate, numerous castles,
and high quality lifestyle make this region a common tourist destination. 
The town is very international and multicultural.  Tuebingen also offers
easy access to the Alps and SE France for additional recreation.
