Dear colleagues of the EGU,
Please consider joining the following petition to fight for a sensible
science budget in Brussels.
Kind regards
D.B. Dingwell (EGU president)

Dear colleagues,
I'm addressing you as representative a learned society. As the
negotiations on the EU budget enter in the critical phase, the Initiative
for Science in Europe (http://www.i-se.org) has launched an online petition
to mobilise the research community and protect the EU research budget from
cuts.
This movement follows up an open letter of 42 Nobel Laureates and 5 Fields
Medallists which has been published today in major newspapers.
Please sign the petition and invite your colleagues to join!
I would like to ask to inform and mobilise your constituency.
The campaign has to go viral!
Thank you very much,
Wolfgang Eppenschwandtner (Executive Coordinator of the Initiative for
Science in Europe)
