Tenure-track Position in Geochemistry, University of Vermont
The
University of Vermont, Department of Geology seeks a full time
tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in the broad area of
Geochemistry. Preferred candidates will approach geochemical problems
using both field and analytical methods complementing departmental
interests in geochronology, mineralogy/crystal chemistry, sedimentology,
structural geology, surface processes, and/or tectonics. Expertise
should include quantitative geochemical analysis of natural systems
including fluid-rock interactions under a wide range of P/T conditions.

and environmental science students, and graduate courses of the
candidate's choosing. Ph.D. required.
The University is
especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity
and excellence of the academic community through their research,
teaching, and service. Applicants are requested to include in their
cover letter information about how they will further this goal.
Prospective candidates should submit a letter detailing their areas of
expertise and their potential research and teaching contributions along
with a curriculum vitae and contact information for three professional
references. Apply online at www.uvmjobs.com [1] by
searching for the position under the department name (Geology) only.
The position will remain open until filled but priority will be given to
