A post-doctoral research position in seismology is expected to become
available in the Department of Geoscience, University of Wisconsin-Madison,
beginning in late summer or fall 2013.  The position is a full-time 1-year
appointment, with the opportunity of continuation, as a Post-Doctoral
Research Associate.  The successful applicant will participate in two or
more projects, including research on fault zones, subduction zones, and/or
volcano seismology.  The expected starting salary is in the range $42,000
to $48,000, depending on qualifications and experience.  The position is
most appropriate for candidates not more than 2 years past the Ph.D.
 Completion of all Ph.D. requirements is necessary at the time of
appointment.

The starting dates for the positions are somewhat flexible, but preferably
between August 15 and October 15, 2013.  Applicants should submit a resume,
