La Red interamericana de Academias de Ciencias (IANAS) acaba de
publicar, en ocasión del Día Mundial del Agua (Marzo 22, 2015), el
libro "Urban Water Challenges in the Americas. A perspective from the
Academies of Sciences", un volume con 682 páginas que incluye
capítulos de 20 países de las Américas debidos a 120 autores.  El
capítulo sobre Cuba: "Singularities of Island Aquifer Management in
the Humid Tropics: the urban water cycle in Havana, Cuba" lo hemos
escrito con la colaboración de Ma. I. González y E. Planos y la
coordinación editorial de la Dra. M. Arellano y me complace

IANAS, the Interamerican Network of Academies of Sciences is very
pleased to announce the release of a comprehensive volume on "Urban
Water Challenges in the Americas. A perspective from the Academies of
Sciences" as part of the recognition of World Water Day (March 22,
2015). The 682 page volume includes chapters evaluating urban water
issues for 20 countries of the Americas. The book, which had 120
contributing authors, is available in both English and Spanish. The
Cuban chapter "Singularities of Island Aquifer Management in the Humid
Tropics: the urban water cycle in Havana, Cuba" was written by Leslie
Molerio, Ma. Isabel González and E. Planos with the Editorial
Coordination of Dr. M. Arellano. It is a pleasure to share it with you
all. The publication can be downloaded for free at the IANAS web site
