[Geoinfo] Fwd: 36th IGC-6th YES -Geo-Hackathon News

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I am getting ready for my trip to New Delhi to attend and participate at
the 36th IGC-6th Yes Congress from 2-8 March. I will be involved in two
sessions related to the theme Geoscience and society. To complement the
sessions, I (ESM) am very excited to host, together with the YES Network
and support by 36th IGC,

*"The Time is Now! Earth Science for a Sustainable Future! - Geo-Hackathon.
*On 4 March 2020 at the congress venue - online participation is welcome.

*Challenge:* Develop an attractive media product that can be used to
inspire, engage and attract people to undertake a career in the Earth
Sciences. Enlighten the world to the exciting and important field of Earth
Science to help stimulate the next generation of geoscientists for a
sustainable future.

To get more information about the Geo-hackathon, please refer to the
attachments in this email.

I would really appreciate if you can spread the word and information about
the event throughout your network. This is the first of what I hope to be
many.

Are you attending the 36th IGC? I hope to see you there.
