Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the next Colloquium on Geophysical Signatures
of Earthquakes and Volcanoes (GSEV) to be held between 12-14 of May
2021, during the afternoons, between 15:00 - 18:00 hrs Chilean time (GMT
-4), in an ONLINE format.
The purpose of these Colloquiums is to facilitate the exchange of ideas
from people working on a variety of Geophysical Signatures of
Earthquakes and Volcanoes to improve our understanding of the geodynamic
processes of the Earth.
It is free, and it serves as a platform for students to learn what is
being done and who works in these fields in Chile. We hope it
facilitates collaboration and friendship.
The first Colloquium was held in Concepción in 2013, then in Santiago in
2015, followed in 2017 back in Concepción. After 4 years, we think it is
time to resume, but in a virtual mode.
We encourage you to participate in GSEV 2021 to share/discuss your
latest research findings and learn from others' work or feedback on your
own work.
We look forward to receiving submissions covering a broad range of
research related to seismic and volcanic processes in Chile. We invited
keynote speakers that will provide some exciting studies!
To participate, please fill the form at www.gsev.cl before May 5th.
Register by sending the title and a summary of your work in 100 words.
Presentations will be 15 minutes long, while the invited talk will be 30
minutes.
The workshop will be held by ZOOM, and the link will be sent to you days
before the Colloquium.
Please forward this message to other colleagues who may be interested in
participating.
We look forward to a great GSEV 2021!
With kind regards, Organizing Committee.
