> The Journal of South American Earth Sciences (JSAMES) is calling for paper on the Tectonic evolution of the Patagonian-Fuegian Andes and southern Patagonia. The aim of this Special Issue is to gather state-of-the-art contributions toward understanding the tectonic and magmatic evolution of the Southernmost Andes and sedimentation in the associated Austral-Magallanes and Malvinas basins, and predecessor basement basins. Papers that investigate the feedback between endogenous and exogenous processes in mountain building, and their imprint in the retroarc are welcome. Sedimentary works highlighting those processes and interactions in the Austral-Magallanes and Malvinas or other Patagonian basins are fully within the scope of the SI. Works highlighting the relation between Southernmost Andes–Scotia Sea geodynamics with kinematics, magmatic processes and subsidence mechanisms are also welcome.

> • Sedimentary and tectonic evolution of the Austral-Magallanes and Malvinas or other Patagonian basins;
> • quaternary landscape evolution of Patagonia: climate and tectonic forcings.
> • The interaction between Antarctic Peninsula, Scotia Plate and South America at the tectonic plate level, the Magallanes-Fagnano fault zone.
> • Research on the southernmost Andes structure, kinematics and magmatism,
> • specially when those processes can be related to subduction of oceanic ridges in the Pacific trench and/or the opening of the Drake Passage.
