Estimados colegas y amigos,

El Comité LatinMag ha decidido otorgar a las Dras. Ana Sinito y Marcia
Ernesto el “Premio Daniel Valencio a la Trayectoria en Paleomagnetismo,
Magnetismo de Rocas y Geomagnetismo en América Latina�, el cual será
entregado durante el transcurso de la próxima reunión..

También se llevará a cabo una sesión especial sobre "Paleomagnetismo y
Tectónica" en homenaje al Dr. Rubén Somoza recientemente fallecido.


Se anuncia además que se ha decidido mantener el precio preferencial de la
inscripción más allá del 30 de junio.

LatinMag Committee announces that  the "Daniel Valencio Award for
Paleomagnetism, Rock Magnetism and Geomagnetism in Latin America" will be
given to Drs. Ana Sinito and Marcia Ernesto during the next meeting

A special session on "Paleomagnetism and Tectonics" will be held in honor
of recently deceased Dr. Rubén Somoza


It is also announced that it has been decided to keep the registration
price after 30 June.
