[Latinmag] Candidacy of the National Observatory (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil): Latinmag 2023

Estimados todos y todas,
Latinmag nació en 2007 como una iniciativa de un grupo de colegas que
quisimos activar una idea de una Asociación Latinoamericana de
Geomagnetismo y Paleomagnetismo que ya venía dando vueltas en el ambiente
desde mucho antes. En ningún momento los miembros fundadores quisimos
“perpetuarnos en el poder” y por lo menos yo estaría más que feliz de ver
que las nuevas generaciones de "geomagnetas" y "paleomagnetas" tomen (como
ya lo vienen haciendo) las riendas de la Asociación. De hecho, durante
los años de pandemia, Poblete, Daniele, Milanese y otros, todos jóvenes muy
por debajo de los 50’s, organizaron charlas virtuales en el contexto de la
Asociación. Es muy fácil criticar y atacar, desde la comodidad de un
teclado, esfuerzos y ACCIONES completamente ad honorem que hemos hecho y
están haciendo las viejas y nuevas generaciones para mantener viva la
Asociación.
Sin mas que decir por los que queda del año FELIZ 2023 a todos los colegas
"Latinmagos"!!!!!!!
Apoyo 100% la iniciativa de Daniel Franco y Rio de Janeiro como sede del
Latinmag 2023
Apoyo 100% la destacada labor de las nuevas generaciones que están tomando
las riendas de estas Asociación
Apoyo 100% la propuesta de Florencia de discutir en persona lo que haya que
discutir sobre la Asociación en Rio el próximo año
