Dear paleomagnetic community,

I am sad to report that Dr. Myrl Beck, Jr., Professor Emeritus of
Geology at Western Washington University, and a Fellow of the American
Geophysical Union and the Geological Society of America, passed away on
Jan 4, 2023 at the age of 89. Myrl was a treasured colleague for several
generations of faculty and students at WWU over his 30 years there as a
member of our faculty, and another 25 years as an active emeritus
faculty. My condolences to all of you who have known or worked with Myrl
over the years- for more details please see the attached.
