It saddens me to hear about the passing of our dear colleague and friend Luis Manuel Alva-Valdivia. Please accept my heartfelt condolences during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you and all who knew and appreciated Luis.

Buen día estimados colegas, 


El domingo pasado falleció el Dr. Luis Manuel Alva-Valdivia, quien fuera investigador del Instituto de Geofísica de la UNAM, y miembro activo durante muchos años de la comunidad de Latinmag. Un gran paleomagnetista, científico y un gran ser humano, que deja un legado importante y quien fuera mentor de muchos de nosotros. Quienes tuvimos el gusto de ser sus estudiantes, colegas y colaboradores lamentamos mucho su pérdida.  



Esperamos poder continuar con su legado. En paz descanse.
