Dear all,

In these turbulent times, we are looking for a new Assistant Professor
in Paleomagnetism/Rock magnetism to join our team at Fort Hoofddijk,
Utrecht University:

It was only a little over a year ago that Sophie Roud became part of our
group at Fort Hoofddijk. Recently, she was offered a position at the
paleomagnetic laboratory at GFZ Potsdam - a great opportunity for her
that aligns well with both her research and personal interests. While
we’ll certainly miss her at the Fort, this also opens up an
opportunity for a colleague to join our team as our new Assistant
Professor.

We are seeking someone who will complement our existing expertise and
fully benefit from the infrastructure available, including a complete
paleomagnetic lab, a Quantum Diamond Microscope lab, our robotized
magnetometer, and access to advanced imaging and computational
facilities within the Faculty of Geosciences. Together with our new
colleague, we aim to keep Fort Hoofddijk at the forefront of
paleomagnetic research. We especially encourage early-career researchers
to apply.

The application deadline is May 15, 2025. If you’re interested or

me. We’ll both be attending the EGU meeting next month, which could be
a great opportunity to discuss this position in person.
