                      announce that pre-registration for the 14th IRM
                      Conference on Rock Magnetism is now open. The
                      deadline </font><font size="4" face="Roboto"><font
                        size="4" face="Roboto">is <b>March 17th</b></font>.<br>

                        pre-registration</b><br>
                      <br>
                      The meeting will be held on the University of
                      Minnesota Twin-Cities campus, <b>June 9-12th</b>.<br>
                      <br>
                    </font><font size="4" face="Roboto">Financial
                      support from NSF and our sponsors allows us to
                      cover the cost of lodging and food for most
                      in-person attendees. Partial travel support will
                      be available to students. <br>
                      <br>
                      There will be a virtual option to allow those who
                      cannot attend in person to stream the keynote and
                      oral session presentations. </font><font size="4"

                    <font size="4" face="Roboto"> <br>
                      There will be four oral sessions, two keynote
                      speakers, a poster session, and a workshop. The
                      oral sessions are by invitation only, but we
                      welcome poster presentations on any topics that
                      explore the magnetic properties of
                      minerals/natural materials and their applications
                      to Earth and planetary sciences.<br>
                      <br>
                      The conference is open to all and there are no
                      fees, but registration is required for both those
                      interested in attending in-person or virtually. <b>We
                        are limiting the number of in-person attendees
                        to 50</b>, and we </font><font size="4"
                      face="Roboto">will be using a two-stage
                      registration process to assess the number of
                      people hoping to attend in-person or virtually. </font><font
                      size="4" face="Roboto">For both in-person and
                      virtual participation we kindly ask that you

                    focusing on the intersection of rock magnetism with
                    other disciplines in the Earth Sciences.<br>

                      workshop will offer hands-on experience in
                      acquiring data with IRM instrumentation and
                      analyzing it using in-development open-source
                      software. We will showcase new capabilities for
                      contributing rock magnetic data to the MagIC
                      database and guide participants through the data
                      upload process. Additionally, the workshop will
                      provide opportunities to discuss community
                      priorities for enhancing open-access data
                      archiving and reproducible analysis.</font><br>
