The Department of Geophysics at the Universidad de Chile invites
applications for a tenure-track position in Applied Geophysics.
Preference will be given to a candidate with a strong background in
geophysical exploration methods (seismic and electrical), allowing
him/her to interact with other specialists such as Electrical
Engineers, Mining Engineers, and Geologists of our Faculty.

The selected candidate will have to carry out research projects as
well as teaching activities.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D degree and a good record of ISI publications.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Applications must be submitted by October 18, 2011.
