FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THE GONDWANA 15 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE
GONDWANA 15 conference will take place in Madrid Spain on July 2014. As on previous occasions the conference will deal on the Gondwana supercontinent from accretion in the Early Paleozoic till break-up in the Mesozoic. The previous meeting (Gondwana 14) was in Buzios, Brazil, in August 2011.
The conference will embrace all aspects involved in the history of Gondwana, including geology, paleontology, paleoclimate, and resources. Moreover it will include both longer pre- and post-conference field trips to key regions of Europe and northern Africa, and short intra-conference trips to relevant areas close to Madrid.
The conference will be held at the Superior School of Mining Engineers of Madrid (near the Spanish Geological Institute), a 19th century old historical place that played an important role in the development of the geological and mineral resources knowledge of Spain.

Receivers of this announcement are encouraged to fill in a preliminary form on the WEB page (click on Review) to let us know the probability that you will attend the meeting, i.e., high, low or zero. This information will be most important to adequately constrain the size of the conference and the registration cost.
