Dear friends of the Central Andes,
I am writing to you to advertise the new update on our interactive,
map-based Central Andes Data Compilation.

The new features are ... :

(a) an extended geochemical data base (and there is more to come soon)
(b) a new comilation of radiometric ages, including the Google Earth
User Community data compilation  by Rex Pilger
(c) an interactive map that lets you choose a slider with a specific
age range for the sample locations to be shown within that range. This
is a really useful tool !

Be aware that Google Maps will show incorrect sample locations as long
as you are at low magnification (large distance) .. zoom in, switch to
satellite..., and enjoy
We hope you will find this useful.

We are constantly working to improve and complete the data base.
Please forward to other colleagues !
 If you do not find your published data here, and you want to have
them included, please feel free to send an Excel-File with  metric lat
long or kmz (preferred)  or  UTM coordinates ... We will include your
data with the approriate reference.

The compilation will also be presented at the upcoming "Latin America
Colloquium" to be held at Heidelberg 29 March to 1. April :
