*Calling all Palaeolimnology and Limnogeology Early Career Researchers!*
(Mid- and advanced-career scientists are also welcome to join, listen to
ECRs and keynotes, and contribute to discussions!)


Join us for the Virtual IAL-IPA ECR Meeting 2025, a free, online event held
some months before the in-person joint meeting of the International
Association of Limnogeology (IAL) and the International Paleolimnology
Association (IPA) in France.

This meeting is designed especially for Early Career Researchers (ECRs) who
may be unable, unsure, or still deciding whether to attend the in-person
meeting, and who are looking for a space to share their work, network, and
engage with mud-loving researchers from around the world.

Who is this meeting for?
Primarily ECRs (MSc students, doctoral candidates, postdocs), but also mid-
and advanced researchers who would like to support, and network with the
ECR community.

We look forward to seeing you online and building an inclusive
paleolimnology and limnogeology network together!

THE MEETING

We invite you to register your interest in attending our 2-3 day online ECR
meeting.  Each day will include 4-5 hours featuring:  keynote speakers,
short oral presentations by ECRs, and networking time. We’ll do our best to
accommodate participants from a wide range of time zones, so that everyone
can take part. All sessions will be recorded and promptly uploaded to our
