Dear colleagues,

It is my pleasure to announce the next IGCP-580 meeting which will be in
conjunction with the IGCP-596 project.
The meeting: "Geophysical and Geochemical Techniques: A Window on the
Palaeozoic World" (with a focus on magnetic measurements and application
as paleoenvironmental tool).
will be held in Calgary, Canada and we will also propose field trip and
core workshop on Palaeozoic selected sections and cores. The first
circular is attached or is available at
http://www2.ulg.ac.be/geolsed/MS/13meetingCalgary.html.
Contributions to every topic related to the application of geophysics,
magnetism and geochemistry in stratigraphic correlation,
cyclostratigraphy, palaeoenvironmental studies and other fields are
welcome. Grants will be available.

In the framework of this meeting, we will submit a special issue of the
Geological Society of London on the same topic, and we invite you to
submit your research paper to this Special Publication. More information

Best regards, Anne-Christine
