Postdoc Opportunity

Thematic Project: Sea-level changes and Global Monsoon System: clues from
marine cores in Brazil

Theme: Magnetostratigraphy and paleointensity of marine cores in Brazil:
Implications to paleoenvironment and geomagnetic field evolution
Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Luigi Jovane

Institution: University of São Paulo, Institute Oceanographic
Duration: 24 months
Salary: R$ 7373.10

Requisites: Degree in Geology/ Geophysics/ Earth Science, with PhD in
Paleomagnetism and emphasis in rock magnetism, paleointensity
and anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility (AMS).

Profile: - The candidate must have knowledge of
paleomagnetism, magnetostratigraphy, rock magnetism, environmental
magnetism and paleointensity analysis techniques.
- Essentially a candidate must have demonstrated excellence in research
through dissemination of their scientific results in peer-reviewed journals.
