*Teaching profile*: The recruited Professor will teach and be in charge of
courses in mathematics and physics applied to geosciences, and basic
geophysics, in the University ’s Batchelor curriculum. The recruited person
will be in charge of courses like « Physics and Chemistry of the Earth » in
the « Earth, Planetary and Environmental Sciences » Master’s program, and
« Waves and Dynamics of the Earth » in the « Fundamental Research Physics »
Master’s program. He/she will also be in charge of organizing, every other
year, a doctoral training on physical and chemical processes of the
Internal Earth at Les Houches School of Physics. The aim is to consolidate
teaching in a field of excellence of the Grenoble site.

*Research profile*: The research concerns the study of dynamical processes
at work in the deep Earth and the physical, chemical and/or mineralogical
interactions between the core and the mantle. Possible methodological
approaches cover a broad spectrum that can include numerics, experiments,
data analysis and/or theoretical developments. This position should expand
the interactions between several research teams involved in deep Earth
research.
